Where are the Reel Women ?

The Inaugural Reel Women Bluewater Fishing Classic will be held at Crab Claw Island in the pristine waters of Bynoe Harbour in the Northern Territiory, on 4 and 5 August 2006. The official welcome function will be held on the evening of 3 August. This is a catch and release competition. Digital photo's along with the occassional avi (Movie) will be available for you viewing pleasure after the competition has completed.

The Reel Women fishing competion is used to promote the sport to women from all over Australia. Men are however, allowed to skipper a vessel, but must not fish during the event.

The Vessel (Boat) The boat is a 5.25 metre centre console. It is painted white in colour, so most stickers will stand out against the white backgroud.

Sponsopship is needed to help with the following expences. Fuel, With the cost of petrol nowadays, and an estimated $300 required to run the boat for 3 days, any help would be appreciated. Registration Fee's accommodation Fishing tackle and Bait. (Live bait is not to be used) Sponsorship does not need to be in the form of cash, help with any of the above items would be appreciated.

Without our sponsors, Mel's Mermaids would not be able to enter this event. Southern Aurora (Major Sponsor) Southern Aurora is providing this page, acknowledging our valued sponsors. This page will remain for a period of six months. Sponsor logo's and a short business description will also be placed here. Logos to be 170x95 pixels, description to be no longer than 250 words. Southern Aurora is also providing the vessel (boat) for the competition. Southern Aurora has agreed to provide space on the sides of the boat for sponsor stickers. Stickers to be 500mm x 300 mm in size. This will give ample room for all our sponsors to have their stickers placed on the boat. Sponsors will need to provide 2 stickers.
