SAV Interface enables users of a wide range of stand-alone industry-standard applications to benefit from high-speed integration with the Sophos virus detection engine.
All traffic entering or leaving through the third-party application - for example, web or email traffic, including compressed attachments - is checked for viruses, Trojans, worms and malicious spyware.
Infected attachments are disinfected, deleted or quarantined and a message is sent to the administrator.
Anti-virus detection files from SophosLabs™ are kept fully up to date across the internet by Sophos's updating application, EM Library. In addition, Genotype™ technology recognises families and variants of known viruses, protecting against new threats before specific detection is available.
